About Butterfly Lady

Suzanne Tilton is the Butterfly Lady
With a life-long fascination of butterflies,
Suzanne started butterfly gardening in 1994. By planting the right nectar and host plants for her area, she was able to bring these marvels of nature to her front window. As soon as butterfly eggs appeared in her garden, she brought them inside to observe up-close their miraculous transformation from tiny caterpillars to fat caterpillars to chrysalises, then to flying jewels as they emerged into fully-grown adult butterflies. The process is mesmerizing and she never tires of it.

Bringing joy to the classroom
Having taught elementary school for 28 years,
Suzanne naturally brings the joy of butterflies to her students. Over the years, thousands of children have experienced the fun of butterflies and have gained a greater appreciation and respect for nature and its beauty with her classes and school   Presentations.

Extending butterfly fun to all
Through her Butterfly Lady website,
Suzanne continues her role as Butterfly Educator to provide information, ideas and Butterfly livestock in the Marketplace with FREE shipping of caterpillars, milkweed seeds and other butterfly host and nectar plant seeds to educators, parents, gardeners and butterfly fans of all ages.
